This is the bracelet I made at Bead Fest in Kim St. Jean's "Ruffled Bracelet" class.
While I loved learning the fold forming technique, I'm don't think I would
wear this bracelet-it's not quite my style. So I felt a bracelet "do-over" was called for.
I took it apart, re-annealed it and then was able to cut it into 3 separate pieces.
This is what I made with 2 of the pieces...now I do really like them!
Have you done any "do-overs"?
You know, the first time I saw that bracelet (either in the Bead Fest program or in one of Kim's books - I forgot where exactly) I thought 'wow, cool! but I wouldn't be able to wear that!' :) I love how you made it into multiple 'pendants' instead - lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alicia-I like it so much better now!
DeleteI love seeing statement pieces like your bracelet, but they can be impractical to wear. Your makeover necklaces are gorgeous! They have the same impact and art feeling in a wearable format. They still make me say, "Wow!"
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ann for your kind comments-
DeleteYour original bracelet was beautiful, but the necklaces are beautiful, and very wearable!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Beti. I am much happier with the necklaces-
DeleteI agree with Beti! I love the bracelet although impractical, it's quite the statement piece. Your do-over creations on the other hand, they are stunning! Great work Linda!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol!
